14, 2009 Press Release Lee Kuhn Jr. Lands Leo Vince ! Parts Canada Superbike racer, Toolee Motorsport’s own Lee
Kuhn Jr., has finalized a 2010 partnership deal with exhaust manufacturer LeoVince. Kuhn’s new Triumph Daytona 675’s
will be equipped with full LeoVince SBK Factory Titanium systems. “It was super exciting to hear we had the world’s largest powersport
exhaust manufacturer on board,” said Kuhn. “My crew chief (dad, Lee Kuhn Sr.) decided the LeoVince system was
the way to go because of its superior low and midrange horsepower. The tracks we race on in Canada tend to be tight and technical,
where the benefits of their system will really shine through.” Acceleration Racing, Canada’s #1 privateer race team is supplying
Hotbodies bodywork and PK Power quick shifters for Kuhn’s Triumphs. Acceleration owner, Parts Canada Superbike racer
Clint McBain will also be offering mentorship to Kuhn. “I can’t put into words how cool it is to have one of my racing hero’s
helping me with my own program,” said Kuhn. “Clint is an amazing racer and I know he has a wealth of knowledge
he can share with me.” Though Pirelli tires are the spec tire in the National Parts Canada Superbike Series, Kuhn will also be running them
while racing the SOAR Regional Series at Toronto Motorsports Park with sponsorship from Orion Motorsports/Pirelli. “All of my podiums over
the past two years have been on Pirelli tires,” said Kuhn. “I have tried other tires here in Canada and while
racing in the US, but none give me the confidence and consistency of the Pirellis.” Kuhn will also be adding Tech Spec as a partner for 2010, with
his Triumphs fitted with their state of the art, great looking tank grip. Brian’s Auto Service will handle the maintenance
of the race rig and Nightline Customs will be handling all the bodywork and paint on the Hotbodies bodywork. Continuing their support in 2010
will be Sturgess Cycle/Triumph while celebrating their 100th anniversary, Monster Energy, Arai Helmets, Inside Motorcycles
Magazine, Great Northern Battery, Carson Signs and Spyke. Kuhn is a multi time Mini GP champion in Canada and the US and finished #2 in his rookie
year in the 2008 Parts Canada Superbike CBR Challenge. In preparation for his Amateur 600 debut in 2010, he raced in the 2009
SV Cup series with the National Parts Canada Superbike Series, the Regional R.A.C.E. Superseries and SOAR, finishing the two
series in the top ten. For additional information about Toolee Motorsport’s Lee Kuhn Jr. or to learn more about marketing opportunities

May 21, 2009 Parts Canada National #1 at Calabogie is a Bit Rough For
Lee! Lee started out Friday morning with his first ride on the Calabogie long track being a wet one. He went out
on DOT Pirellis, making it a slip and slide ride until it started to dry up at the end of the session. Though Lee has never
run the long track on his Suzuki, he still ran 6th (2:44.900). Friday afternoon was a dryer session and Lee picked
up the pace running a (2:29.830), again in 6th place. Saturday mornings practice session went very well with Lee again dropping his
time to 2:19.227 for 4th. Qualifying Saturday afternoon had Lee drop to a 2:18.895 for a 6th place start in his first national
SV Cup race. Most of Saturday night and part of Sunday am was spent changing the front end and rear shock with custom units
from John Sharrard(Accelerated Technologies). This was due to Lee bottoming the bike everywhere at both ends of the bike. Sunday mornings
practice was a new experience for Lee, going out on a basically new bike with the suspension, ride height, etc. being totally
different from anything he has ridden. Apparently it was to his liking as he cut another second off his lap time running a 2:17.872
in 4th position. This had Lee going into Sunday afternoon's final with a ton of confidence. Unfortunately confidence wasn't enough.
Being in the lower paddock with no warning of the upcoming race, we pulled off the warmers and went up to pit lane so
as not to miss the race. We thought we had made a good decision being let directly out onto the grid, only to be left
sitting there for 15+ minutes. This meant Lee started the race on ice cold tires, which we failed to adjust
to. Charging into turn 8 on the first lap like he normally would, Lee lost all frontend grip and a violent lowside followed
when he couldn't catch it. The bike sustained quite a bit of damage, but thankfully Lee was not seriously injured and he will
be ready for National round #2 in a couple of weeks. Lots of work for dad to get the bike back together
though. |

18, 2009 Lee 4th in SV Cup and 8th in MDLWT Sportsman at RACE Round #2! Lee qualified 3rd and finished 4th by inches in the SV Cup class having a spectacular battle
with Steve Green through the whole race. He qualified 6th for middleweight Sportsman and finished 8th, again running
quicker than a number of guys in front of him. |
May 3, 2009 Lee is 4th in SV and 9th in MDLWT Sportsman at RACE Round #1! Lee qualified and ended up finishing 4th in the SV Cup class and fought to a hard earned
9th in Middleweight Sportsman after starting at the back of the pack. He was getting quicker every session as he is becoming
more and more familiar with his new Suzuki. John Sharrard from Accelerated Technologies had the suspension working flawlessly
during the weekend. |
April 27, 2009 First Trackday of the Season is in the Books! Lee spent the day with Pro6 rider Efram Ellenbogen on the Fabi course at Shannonville Motorsports
Park. Efram was showing Lee the quick way around and he is progressing at an amazing rate on his new Suzuki and looks
very comfortable on the bike. Lee was the only twin in the Red fast group with 600's and 1000's. Nothing like seeing
a 1000 rocket past Lee on the straight only to be passed by him two corners later on the tight sections. |
